Palette Knives for mixing
Medium: Liquin works good if you don't have a preference, or mix your own:
3:1:1 ratio (OMS/Damar varnish/stand oil)
Odorless Mineral Spirits

This course reveals the simple methods of painting any subject matter in a representational way by utilizing the basic and advanced fundamentals. This is a hands on course with numerous demonstrations. The principles of drawing accurately, seeing values, and color mixing to achieve harmony are several of the topics covered. This course will be instructive for beginners through advanced. The class will learn from working from life in the studio. We will use a clothed model as our subject.
Employing a full prismatic palette as well as the "Zorn Palette" will be instructed.

Brushes: I prefer mongoose flats and Utrecht Sablettes, small to medium sizes and any good quality bristle brushes for the larger sizes.
Canvas: 6 canvases or panels, size 9 x 12 or 11 x 14 in. Oil Double or Triple Primed
Linen is best, if you use acrylic primed cotton make sure it is good quality.
Palette: I recommend glass or smooth wood palettes.
